Item MS142, PINEAPPLE BOTTLE MADE INTO A JAR, embossed “W & CO / N.Y., amber, Open Pontil, 6 ¾” high, inward rolled lip, bold embossing, perfect condition. The pineapple bottles are known to have been fashioned into numerous whimsical pieces. Plate #252 in “American Glass” shows a decanter, a handled pitcher, and a sugar bowl. Other pieces we have seen include several handled examples with one being flattened into a flask form. This jar form may be unique.
