Item SW292, Handled Chestnut Flask “S S W & Co” in large letters on the front, amber, has a small Iron Pontil surrounded by a large Open Pontil, 8 ¾” high, applied handle, bold embossing, has three small spots of high point wear on the front, and spotty stain on the back (probably from the label glue), also a tiny (1/16”) lip chip with an associated faint 3/8” lip bruise, ex-Charles Gardner collection lot 1889. An extremely rare whiskey jug, only two have been sold at auction in the last thirty years and this is one of those. Both had minor damage. This example sold for $4,600 in 2015, America circa 1850 to 1855, $3,200
