Item PM428, DR TOWNSEND’S – SARSAPARILLA – ALBANY / N Y, this is the variant with four “rivet” marks on each side, yellowish olive amber, strong Sand Chip Pontil, 9 ¾” high, bold embossing, nice crude applied tapered top. This one has tons of “character” with surface texture, thousands of tiny to medium size bubbles and numerous small potstones, it has a couple of light scratches and a tiny (1/16”) iridescent surface bruise on the neck, otherwise perfect condition, a very nice example of this rare bottle, circa 1848 to 1852, On Hold
