Item PM406, THE / INDIANS/ PANACEA, medium to deep yellowish olive green, sand chip pontil, 8 ½” high, nice crude double tapered applied top, bold embossing, lots of bubbles in the glass, It has a tiny (1/8”) flake at the edge of the base, a small (3/8”) faint iridescent bruise on the inside of the lip and a few scratches near the base. None of these flaws are very noticeable and the general appearance of the bottle is excellent. This is the very rare large size variant of this bottle and most of the ones we have seen were in very rough condition. This one has not been cleaned and is a very attractive example. From New York City circa 1827 – 1849, Sold
