Item PJ105, “WILLINGTON” type Pickle Jar, rich blue green, 8” high, has a small Iron Pontil surrounded by a much larger Sand Chip Pontil (you get two Pontils for the price of one), bold embossing, outward rolled lip, has a very small (1/4”) flake on the inside edge of the lip otherwise perfect condition. The color of this jar is as deep or deeper than any Willington type jar that we recall seeing, a gorgeous example of this scarce jar, attributed to the Willington Glass Works, West Willington, Connecticut, 1845 to 1860, $2,800
