Has a small (1/8" X 5/16") flake starting at the base and extending up the edge of a side panel, also a few minor wear scratches, a very beautiful little ink. Extremely rare with only two or three known in this spectacular color. $3,900

NY, yellowish green, Iron Pontil, cylindrical with fancy fluted shoulder, 6 5/8" high, large applied flanged lip, bold embossing, very nice crudeness with plenty of whittle and lots of tiny to small bubbles. Has a ¼" lip chip that has been polished to smooth the edges and some inside base stain. A very rare and beautiful master ink bottle. All the colored examples of this bottle that we have seen have some form of damage, $2,900

Has a small (1/2") hard-to-see crack on the underside of the base, and three pinhead size body flakes. Extremely rare in this large size, one of the most beautiful early American inkwells, $4,200
Cov #897, STAFFORD'S / INK, rich bluish green, cylindrical, 9 7/8" high, hand tooled lip with pour spout, bold embossing, 100's of tiny bubbles in the glass, the bottle is in perfect condition. Has the original shoulder and 95% original front labels. The shoulder label is dark and difficult to read. The front label is multicolored and depicts an Eagle and Star. Extremely rare with original label, $365

JONES - EMPIRE - INK - N.Y., emerald green, Iron Pontil, 12 sided, 7 3/8" high, applied flanged lip, bold embossing, nicely whittled, lots of bubbles in the glass. A 3/8" chip on the underside of the lip has been expertly repaired, also has a few minor wear marks. A large, beautiful and extremely rare master ink bottle. There are only a few known examples. Ex-Brian Grapentine collection, American circa 1845 to 1860, $5,700
Cov #23, CONE INKWELL, medium blue, deep tubular Open Pontil, 2 ½" high, inward rolled lip, nice crudeness with whittle, surface texture and bubbles. Has a small (3/16") bruise on the part of the rolled lip that is down inside the mouth, otherwise perfect, a nice example of this attractive ink, America circa 1850, $1,400
Item IK072, CONE INKWELL, GROSS & ROBINSON/ AMERICAN/ WRITING FLUID, aqua, deep tubular Open Pontil, 3 ¼" high, inward rolled lip, nicely whittled. Has some very fine light scratches on the inside that are only visible using a bright light. A huge cone inkwell and extremely rare, America circa 1850. This inkwell is a candidate for the best cone inkwell in the world due to it's very large size, interesting embossing, and extreme rarity, $1,900

Cov #781, GIANT ONE GALLON MASTER INK, 12 sided, 12 flutes around shoulder, 12 1/8" high, dark olive green, huge Iron Pontil, large crude applied top with pour spout, nicely whittled. Has a small (1/4" X 7/16") flake at the edge of the base, otherwise perfect, ex-William Covill Collection, thought to be the only known example of this important bottle
Cov #139, UMBRELLA INKWELL WITH EIGHT CONCAVE SIDES, olive green, Open Pontil, 2 3/8" high, inward rolled lip, nicely whittled, lightly cleaned to it's original luster, has a small partially open bubble at the pontil scar, a very attractive inkwell and extremely rare in this color
Cov #527, FARLEY'S - INK, medium olive green, Open Pontil, 8 sided, 3 1/8" high, thin flared lip, bold embossing, 95% original label. There is a 5/16" crescent shaped chip on the flared lip, otherwise the bottle is perfect. The label has some staining but all the writing is easily readable. An extremely rare pure olive green color for this ink with no amber at all. Also extremely rare with a label in any condition, this is also the rarest size for a Farley's ink. This one has it all.
Similar to Cov #143, UMBRELLA INK WELL, deep emerald green, deep tubular Open Pontil, 2 ½" high, inward rolled lip, highly whittled, 100's of bubbles in the glass. A sand grain on the inside surface of the base has a tiny (3/16") radiation, also a few surface sand grains are grouped together near the base on one side. A rare and beautiful color for an umbrella inkwell, the tubular Open Pontil is almost ½" deep,
Cov #838, DESIGN PATD FEB. 16TH 1886 (all on base), golden yellow with an amber tone, 8 7/8" high, hand tooled lip, numerous bubbles in the glass, the bottle is in perfect condition and still has the original cork. The bottle has four original labels. The shoulder label is 95% but dark and difficult to read. The 100% multicolored front label depicts a water front scene. The 100% back label is black and tan. On the side is the 100% label from the store that sold the bottle. This is a multicolored label in the shape of a leaf. Extremely rare with complete labels
